According to farmers, a kilo of potatoes from Ardabil crops costs 1,200 tumens, but this price does not cover the cost.
Officials of the Ardabil Agricultural Organization estimate that 850,000 tons of potatoes will be taken from the region this year. According to Ahmad Shahriyari, more than 21,000 hectares of potatoes have been planted in the region.
According to him, an average of 37 tons of potatoes are produced per hectare. However, ideally, this hectare increases to 70 tons.
