The governor of Zanjan said: Zanjan is facing a shortage of ICU beds.
According to the Tasnim news agency from Zanjan, Reza Asgari stated in a meeting of non-governmental organizations and NGOs:
“We have witnessed the efforts of non-governmental organizations in the past 6 months to fight the corona virus along with other organizations.”
He added: “If it were not for the timely presence of NGO movements in the early days of Corona, the situation would have been much more difficult because it was with the efforts of these organizations that Zanjan province did not reach the peak stage of the Coronavirus.”
Referring to the early days of the coronavirus outbreak and the preparation of convalescent homes, the governor of Zanjan said:
“According to the call, with the help of organizations and institutions, in less than three weeks, nearly 160 hospital beds were collected from homes and handed over to Ayatollah Mousavi Hospital.”
