TRAFFIC DECREASES FROM JULFA AND NORDUZ BORDERS

Orujali Alizadeh, head of the East Azerbaijan Department of Motor Roads, said that “due to the spread of the coronavirus and the ban on passenger traffic, the movement of passengers in the Julfa and Norduz areas has decreased by more than 90 percent.

He recalled that in the first three months of this year, 27,000 heavy vehicles passed through the Julfa and Norduz terminals.

According to him, the volume of goods exported through Julfa is 45.5 thousand tons, and the amount of goods entering and leaving the country through this border is 72,000 tons.
It should be noted that East Azerbaijan is bordered by Azerbaijan, Armenia and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
