National activist Parviz Siyabi, who was detained in Ardabil in connection with the protests in support of Karabakh, has been released on bail.
Pictures of Siyabi released after his release prove that he was tortured. Siyabi’s hand was reportedly broken as a result of the torture. The activist’s arms and severe bruises on his back also indicate that he was tortured.
It should be noted that Parviz Siyabi Ardabil residents were detained by security forces on May 8 for supporting Karabakh together with national activists. Eleven other people arrested during the protest have not yet been released.
