Traffic accidents in Zangan increased by 208 percent

The proportion of accidents in Iran’s Khorda month this year has increased by 208 percent compared to the same period last year.

“Twelve people were killed in a traffic accident on the roads of Zangan district in Iran’s Khordad in 1998. However, the number of casualties in Khordad increased by 25 to 37 this year,” he said.

The statement came from Zangan Traffic Police Deputy Chief Mohammad Ali Azimi in an interview with journalists.

Most of the fatal traffic accidents occurred in Khodaban and Abhar cities of the region.

In total, 58 people died in traffic accidents in the first three months of this year and 46 in the same period last year (1398).
