Speaking about the fight against smuggled goods, Jahangir Iskanderzadeh, the security director of the East Azerbaijan region, said that 1,833 smugglers were arrested last year.
According to him, the value of these goods was about 153 billion tomans, of which 1,677 cases were organized.
According to Iskanderzade, the exploration of smuggled goods in East Azerbaijan increased by 34 percent compared to last year, and 1,048 cars were confiscated from smugglers.
