Former President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad Khatami has contracted the coronavirus.
76-year-old Khatami was taken to a hospital in Tehran.
No official information has been released about his condition.
It should be noted that Mohammad Khatami, considered the leader of the reformist line in the government, was born on September 23, 1943 in Ardakan, Yazd province, Iran. He is the 5th President of the Islamic Republic of Iran. He was elected president twice: the first time in 1997 and the second time in 2001.
