A leftist arrested in Tabriz was released on bail

Arrested leftist activist Amir Chamani was released on bail on Tuesday.

Amir Chamani, who was arrested by the FATA Police of Tabriz, was being held in Sipah prison. He was released on bail of 200 million tomans.

Farvardin, a leftist activist from Tabriz, was summoned by FATA police on the 14th of the month and said in a telephone conversation with his family after his arrest that he was being tried. He was taken to Sipah Prison for questioning after his arrest.

According to the HARANA news agency, no information has been released about Chameni’s accusations.
Amir Chamani was sentenced to 6 months in prison by the Revolutionary Court of Tabriz on the 11th of Shahrivari on 1397 for “propaganda against the order of the Islamic Republic” at the hands of Gazi Hamlbar.
Before him, in 1391, Chamani was sentenced to six months in prison by the Chief of the First Department of the Revolutionary Court, Gazi Hamlbar, for disrespecting the Iranian leader and three months for propaganda against the Islamic Republic. Meadowski was also sentenced to 40 lashes for negligence of the President at that time.
