We think that all attempts to complicate the solution of the problems between our two neighbors, Azerbaijan and Armenia, should be avoided.
The statement came from Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi.
He said the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict must be resolved peacefully within the framework of international law and principles:
“Iran opposes any step that will increase tensions and differences in the region.”
