LATEST SITUATION WITH LAKE URMU

Hujjat Jabbari, Deputy Head of the West Azerbaijan Environmental Protection Department, announced the latest situation with Lake Urmu.

According to the report, the decrease in precipitation caused the lake to dry up. Currently, the general situation is assessed as risky. It was noted that the salinity of the lake is 350 grams per liter.

This suggests that the concentration of water in Lake Urmu has increased. Currently, residents of this area are moving to other areas.

It should be noted that the book of the Ehya Sitad of Lake Urmu is being investigated by the Tabriz and Urmu councils in collaboration with the state of the lake.
