In an interview with the Irna news agency, the director general of East Azerbaijan prisons, Hasan Mahammadyari, said that a new prison would be built in Tabriz.
According to him, the new prison will be located in the Baba Baghi neighborhood in the northwest of Tabriz.
According to Mohammadyari, the project will cover 14,000 square meters and accommodate 5,000 people.
