The number of fires in Qazvin has quadrupled

Qudrattulla Mehdi Khani, the director general of Qazvin’s crisis department, said that the number of fires in Qazvin had increased four times compared to last year.

He said that 100 hectares of pastures and 700 hectares of natural resources and forests in the city of Taram were destroyed by fire in the past two days.

Mehdi Khani said that 90 percent of the fires were caused by human factors, and the cause of the fires in the last two days is being investigated.

Last year, 800 hectares were destroyed by fire in the region, and this year 3,000 hectares. This year, 2,000 hectares of fires were registered in the national territory and 1,000 hectares in gardens.
