The chief of the Salmas police department in western Azerbaijan said that drug detection in the city had increased by 69 percent this year.
Ramazan Fatih Elahi said at a press conference with journalists and cyber space activists in the city on the evening of June 12:
“There has been a 69% increase in our drug discoveries this year.”
Referring to the city’s robbery statistics, he added: “In the first two months of this year, we saw a 22% decrease. On June 21, we saw a 17% decrease in thefts.”
