I don’t consider myself a tsar.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said this in an interview with TASS.
“I work every day, I don’t like a tsar. Tsar is the one who looks and commands from above. I work every day,” he said.
Putin has been elected president four times. He was first elected in 2000 and the second in 2004. Putin, who became prime minister in 2008-2012, was re-elected in 2012. The Russian leader, who ran for re-election in 2018, has again won the election.
