NATIONAL ACTIVIST SENTENCED TO 6 MONTHS IN PRISON

Activist Davud Shiri was sentenced to 6 months in prison by the 1st Department of the Tabriz Court of Appeals.

It should be noted that the activist was previously convicted by the 2nd Department of the Revolutionary Court of Tabriz on charges of “propaganda against the system.”

However, the same court sentenced Shirin to three years in prison on charges of being a member of the GAMAC group.

It should be noted that the activist was detained by security forces at work on Aban 26, of 98, and transferred to an unknown location.

David and his brother Eyyub Shiri were detained for four months and released on bail of 800 and 400 million tomans on 7 July of that year, respectively, after questioning.

It should be noted that national activists Davud and Ayyub Shiri, Mohammad Mahmudi, Akbar Muhajiri, Shahin Barzgar, Ruzbeh, and Yashar Piri, Nasir Khulusu, Babek Husseini Muqaddam were arrested during the protests against the rise in gasoline prices.
