South Azerbaijani activist Jafar Rustami-rad has been returned to prison

National activist Jafar Rustami-rad who was granted temporary home release due to the coronavirus infection was returned to Evin prison.

It should be noted that Rustami was temporarily released on the 27th of Tire and returned to the Evin prison on the 30th of Mordad.

It should be noted that the activist was arrested at work by Tehran security forces on suspicion of attending the congress of Babek Fortress in January 1397.

It should be noted that the activist was sentenced to 6 months in prison by the 26th Department of the Tehran Court on charges of “propaganda against the system.”

The Azerbaijani activist was also sentenced to “two years of deprivation of membership in political societies and groups.”

He is currently serving a seven-month prison sentence for participating in the Traxtur-Al Jazeera match at the Sahand Stadium in Tabriz after serving a six-month prison sentence imposed by the Tehran Revolutionary Court.
