Azerbaijani national-cultural activist Amir Sattari Rauf, who was released from the central prison of Tabriz on September 9, 1999, appealed to the executive branch of the judiciary.

It should be noted that the activist’s sentence was suspended after 2 years of his 5-year imprisonment.

It should be noted that Sattari was beaten and arrested by security officers on December 11, 1396 during the protests. After that, the national activist was transferred to the Tabriz prison, which was temporarily released in exchange for a 100 million card.

On the 16th of Khordad, 1397, he was sentenced by the Tabriz Revolutionary Court to seven months in prison on charges of “public and subjugation to security,” and this verdict was upheld by the Reconsideration Court.
