Riza Asiyabi, head and deputy head of the Maragha Main Education Department, also addressed the meeting. He said that 250 teachers had been relocated in the province over the past year. The debts of the regional madrassas were repaid with a budget of 6 billion 500 million. This year, 192 of the 209 people who dropped out of school have had their problems resolved.
The mayor of Maragha, Mohammadreza Ahmadi, spoke about private madrassas. He noted that a number of non-governmental madrassas were built in areas that increased traffic. In order to prevent this situation, the mayor must respond. It should be noted that there are 550 state and non-state madrassas in Maragha. 51,000 students study in these madrassas.
