Former head of Ardabil University of Medical Sciences and former MP Dr. Nureddin Pirmuezzin shared a post on his Instagram account and said that he informed the World Health Organization about the situation of Azerbaijani prisons in Iran.

Pirmuezzin said shocking news was spreading from Ardabil, Tabriz, Zangan and Urmu prisons.

He added: “Unfortunately, Iranian prisons, especially sensitive ones, are full of Covid-19 patients. “Unfortunately, the mullahs are hiding it and trying to kill prisoners under the pretext of the security policy of the herd!”

The former MP from Ardabil also said: “According to the information I received, my compatriots from Ardabil also suffer from the acute symptoms of the Covid-19 virus in the Ardabil prison. “Azerbaijani activists Lisani, Vasegi and Kari, who are in poor general condition and prevented from being sent to the hospital, are particularly vulnerable.”

He warned: “Undoubtedly, if any tragedy happens to these loved ones in the prison, all the authorities of the master of Ardabil, especially the imam, the master and the heads of the judiciary will be held accountable.”
