Magnificent hazelnut forest – Photo

Ardabil's Hazelnut Forest

There are many green and forested areas in the northern and northwestern regions of Iran, but there are few places nearby where you can watch wild deer, eat forest fruits and have fragrant flowers with medicinal properties.

Thus, we are not mistaken in calling Ardabil’s Hazelnut Forest a unique region.

This forest is a rich point of Ardabil region with dry and cold weather and hot and humid air of Gilan. Therefore, most days of the year are foggy here, and even on the hottest days of spring, you can see the flow of clouds at low altitudes.

Frequent rains cause plants and trees to multiply and grow as much as possible.
The area of hazelnut trees in this forest is about 16 hectares. A quarter of this area is forested, the rest is pasture.

In spring and early spring, this forest looks like a carpet full of hazelnuts and chamomile flowers.
