Marriages and births have decreased in Hamadan

The director general of the Hamedan province registry office stated that 21,878 births were registered in Hamedan province in the first nine months of this year.

He continued: “During this period, the number of urban births was 14,929 and rural births were 6,949”.

The Director General of the Civil Registry of Hamedan Province pointed out:

“During this period, out of the total number of births, 11,382 were related to boys and 10,496 were related to girls”.

He noted that 108 boys were born for every 100 girls this year:

“The highest frequency of births was recorded for mothers aged 25 to 29 years.”

Alipour added: “The most registered names among boys were Amir Ali, Hussein and Amir Hussein, respectively, and for girls Fatemeh, Zahra and Helma”.

He added: “According to the registered statistics, the highest birth rate is related to Famenin city and the lowest is related to Hamedan city.”

Regarding the death rate, the Director General of the Hamedan Civil Registry also stated:

“During this period, 7,574 deaths have been registered in Hamedan province”.

He stated that the death rate in the first 9 months of this year has increased only by two cases compared to the same period last year: the rate of urban deaths in this period has been 4,509 cases and rural cases of 3,065 cases.

He reminded: “The lowest decrease in death registration is related to Asadabad city and the highest is related to Hamedan”.

Regarding marriage and divorce statistics, he said:

“In the first nine months of this year, we had 10,799 marriages registered, which shows a 9.5 percent decrease compared to the same period last year.”
