Iranian police interfered with Azerbaijanis supporting the Azerbaijani Army in Khodaafarin

South Azerbaijan

Iranian police forces have interfered with South Azerbaijani citizens in solidarity with Azerbaijani Army soldiers.

On Saturday, the heroic army of Azerbaijan was able to liberate all six bridges over the Araz River in the territory of Khodaafarin from the Armenian occupiers. On Sunday, October 18, Azerbaijani soldiers planted the sacred flag of Azerbaijan on the bridges.

At the same time, a large number of South Azerbaijanis gathered on the banks of the Araz River yesterday and expressed their feelings as the Azerbaijani flag was hoisted on the bridges, rejoicing in the liberation of the occupied territories of Azerbaijan from the Armenian occupiers.

Citizens of South Azerbaijan chanted “Long live Azerbaijani Army”.

According to local witnesses, Iranian police attacked the citizens of South Azerbaijan with truncheons and used obscene language to suppress and destroy them.

Iranian police insulted those gathered there:

“Don’t be too happy, the Armenians will recapture these territories.”
