Zangan bookstores are closing one after another

Firudun Rustamkhani

According to Firudun Rustamkhani, head of the Zangan Librarians’ Union, bookstores are being closed due to the spread of the coronavirus. There are 65 bookstores in Zangan, and only 5 bookstores in the city center have gone on strike.
He said the booksellers’ strike was due to economic problems.

According to Rustamkhani, although earlier it was said that help would be provided on checks and loans to librarians, but so far no assistance has been provided. They even told officials to protest that we would sell cigars instead of books. On the other hand, they took the privilege of selling textbooks from non-librarians, which was another shock to them.

Mahmud Ali Mohammadi, the head of the Zangan master’s culture and guidance department, says:
The cultural sector has lost 5 billion tomans. The Ministry took measures to protect them. According to him, anyone affected in this area can post information on the relevant site.
