The children of Astara long for a playground

Aziz Jozi

There is no place for children to play and have fun in Astara. Although the city’s governors at various times have promised that this issue will be resolved, it seems that this problem will still remain unresolved.

One of the residents of Astara, Shahram Shikari, says that the city has never had a modern and standard playground, and it is the desire of all residents to create such entertainment opportunities. But officials have so far done nothing to fix it.

Another resident of Astara, Aziz Jozi, said there were those who wanted to invest in the construction and operation of the playground, but the bureaucracy was so reluctant to do so.

There is no standard place for residents, children and young people to have fun in the city, and the children of Astara long for a playground.

Astara Governor Javad Maiyati said, “It is very important to build a standard and modern playground. Years ago, a private investor installed entertainment and play equipment in the Khorramshahr Park, but the venue was closed due to lack of standards. The mayor’s office, in cooperation with the private sector, wants to do the necessary work in this regard. ”

It should be noted that Astara, which has long been a historical area of South Azerbaijan, with a population of 91,000, was excluded from Ardabil and merged with Gilan as a geographical assimilation policy of the Iranian state against South Azerbaijan.
