Ali and Rza Vasigi, national cultural activists in Ardabil, were detained by security forces and taken to an unknown location in the evening of the 21st of Khordad.
According to neighbors, national activists were detained at their workplace in Ardabil’s Uprising Square. Activists reportedly asked officials to show arrest warrants. They protested against the lack of a verdict. After that, with the intervention of the Special Forces, the activists were beaten and forcibly taken to an unknown place.
It should be noted that no information was provided on the whereabouts of the activists.
It should be noted that Ali Vasigi was arrested on November 11, 1397, along with many national activists at the Babek Fortress ceremony. The national activist was released on January 19, 1997 in exchange for a license.
Vasigi was then tried in the 2nd Department of the Revolutionary Court of Ardabil. Finally, he was ordained on the 27th of Bahman 97.
Vasigi was also arrested in 1994 in protest of Channel 2’s “wick” program. He was released a month later.
