7 Suluk coins were found in Zanjan

Historical coins were discovered from cultural heritage smugglers in Zanjan.

The Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Zanjan said:

“These Seleucid-Greek coins painted by cultural heritage smugglers were discovered in Zanjan.”

Arjmand said:

“The right face of the Seleucid king is engraved on 4 coins and the left face of the king is engraved on the other 3 coins. The type of coins, their value, as well as their history and the place of their discovery are still being studied”.

Arjumand added:

“The Seleucids were the successors of Seleucus I, who came to power in 306 BC, the Seleucid Empire ruled over West Asia between 312 and 64 BC (248 years)”.
