Younis Golizadeh’s imprisonment ended

Azerbaijani activist

Younes Gholizadeh, an Azerbaijani activist who was sent on leave after the coronavirus outbreak, was informed of the end of his prison term 1st of Shahrivar, after returning to prison.

The activist was sent on a one-month leave from Tabriz prison 2nd of the month of Mordad, due to the outbreak of the coronavirus.

The Azerbaijani Turkish activist was arrested after a raid by security agents at his workplace in Tabriz and was temporarily released on a heavy bail of 500 million rials.

The Third Branch of the Revolutionary Court of Tabriz sentenced him to six months in prison on charges of “propaganda activities against the Islamic Republic of Iran,” which was reduced to 91 days in the Court of Appeals.

Finally, Mr. Gholizadeh was sent to Tabriz Central Prison on the 12th of Khordad in 1399 to serve his sentence.
