To the Turkic nation of South Azerbaijan, the oppressed peoples of Iran, freedom-seekers, and our fellow compatriots:
The Islamic Republic has, once again, started a war—this time not in defense, but as a continuation of its crisis-producing, aggressive, and expansionist policies, dragging the flames of conflict across the region. As we have witnessed many times over the past 44 years, this fire has once again descended upon nations who have long suffered from oppression, poverty, unemployment, and ruin.
Despite the regime’s efforts to project strength through propaganda and military posturing, the truth is that the Islamic Republic’s defense system is in disarray, and a wave of fear has spread across Iranian cities. Sadly, the Turkic nation of South Azerbaijan has not been spared from the consequences of these reckless ambitions. Cities such as Tabriz, Urmia, Ardabil, Maragheh, Azarshahr (Tufargan), Poldasht, Piranshahr (Khana), and other parts of Azerbaijan have become victims of this regime’s fascistic and adventurist policies, leaving our families gripped by anxiety and fear.
Over the decades, the Islamic Republic has squandered billions of dollars of the people’s wealth on genocidal projects, wars, and so-called nuclear advancements. These projects, costing over two trillion dollars, have brought no benefit to the country’s welfare, security, or development; on the contrary, they have devastated Iran’s economic, industrial, healthcare, and social infrastructure.
We unequivocally condemn all forms of violence and war, and we hold the Islamic Republic directly and primarily responsible for this crisis. As political organizations of the South Azerbaijan National Movement, we are closely monitoring the consequences of this conflict for the Turkic nation of South Azerbaijan and other oppressed peoples. We firmly believe that the future, fate, lives, and property of our nation must never again be sacrificed for Tehran’s fascist and expansionist agendas.
The Turkic nation of Azerbaijan harbors no hostility toward any nation or government in the region. History bears witness that Azerbaijan has always sought peace, mutual respect, and honorable coexistence.
We also issue a warning: the Islamic Republic, in its long-standing pattern, will attempt to exploit the atmosphere of war to intensify domestic repression. Signs of increasing pressure on freedom-seeking individuals, political, civil, and cultural activists, and oppressed nations are already evident. We warn that if the regime uses recent developments as a pretext to launch a wave of street crackdowns, arrests, and threats against national activists, it will be met with a decisive and revolutionary response from the people of Azerbaijan.
We call on all Turkic officers and personnel in Iran’s military structures:
Today is a day of choice. You can be the turning point in the liberation of the Azerbaijani nation. Stand with the people—your children, your roots, and your future. Your loyalty should not be to the regime, but to the land, the people, and the future of Azerbaijan.
In conclusion, we invite all national activists, supporters, and sympathizers of the South Azerbaijan National Movement to, now more than ever, act with vigilance and strategic creativity in field and street activities. Maintain awareness and ensure that the mistakes of the past century are not repeated. Our goal is clear: the happiness and national liberation of South Azerbaijan.
We do not fear war, but we will not allow our children to be sacrificed for a war waged solely to preserve a corrupt and occupying regime.
