The chess lady of East Azerbaijan stood on the runner-up platform in the seventh and final round of the national online chess tournament.
According to IRNA on Tuesday, Leila Zarezadeh, an open chess player of the East Azarbaijan Association of the Visually Impaired and Blind, defeated Nadrian in a sensitive game on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr and advanced to the finals.
In the final of the tournament, Zarezadeh accepted the defeat against Omid Karimi and gained the second place with 5.5 points.
The first to third place winners of the competition were awarded medals, cups and certificates along with cash prizes.
