Mugan farmers cannot sell their tomatoes

Tomatoes, one of the most popular products in the Azerbaijani region during the summer months, were again sold at a much lower price this year, leaving them in the hands of farmers and causing great damage.

While tomatoes grow in the hands of consumers in the market for more than 2,500 tomans, farmers in Mugan can sometimes sell their products for only 200 tomans.

According to the IRNA news agency, a large amount of tomato products have been produced in Mugan this year, and the region is only finding buyers to the detriment of farmers’ crops due to the lack of sufficient production plants.

190,000 tons of tomatoes have been grown on 4,300 hectares in Ardabil.

According to the State News Agency, farmers can now sell their produce for between 850 and 900 tumens, while farmers deny the allegations and say they can only sell their produce for 200 tumens.
