Azerbaijan strengthens control on Iranian border

Azerbaijani customs authorities have toughened the control at border checkpoints.

The State Customs Committee told Report that the move comes as part of the preventive measures against coronavirus epidemic raging in China, and several other countries, including neighboring Iran.

People arriving from Iran have their body temperature measured with portable thermometers before they enter the administrative building when crossing the border. For this purpose, customs border checkpoints have been equipped with 20 portable thermometers. Ambulances operate 24 hours shifts in the posts.

Employees of the Health Ministry and Management Union of Medical Territorial Units (TABIB) got acquainted with the measures carried out in the checkpoints. They discussed the coordination of joint activities in cases of detected risks.
