In Turkey, the purchase of housing by Iranians has increased by 40 percent

Iranians alone have bought 20 percent of all property sold to foreigners in Turkey.

Turkey’s Statistics Center said that Iranians bought 6,425 apartments in Turkey in the first 11 months of 2020, which is 40 percent more than in the same period last year.

However, Turkey has closed its borders with Iran since March this year due to a pandemic.

In the first 11 months of this year, Turkey sold a total of 36,819 apartments to citizens of about 100 countries, which is an 8 percent decrease compared to the same period last year.

Iranians alone bought 20 percent of the total property sold to foreigners in Turkey.
