Iran’s propaganda tactics and the resulting humiliation

Ruhullah Khomeini

The words “Ruhullah Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic, is alive with Islamic propaganda” show how important propaganda is in this political system. From the day it was founded, even before it, the issue of propaganda was at the forefront of such issues in the revolutionary struggles of the Shah’s reign. In addition to being an extremely closed regime, the opening up and realization of the ideological and political capacity that has been assimilated to the world is also an extremely important issue.
This propaganda is carried out with great care and subtlety, with a broad and deep propaganda support, from everyday life to political issues and from foreign affairs to regular issues. The Islamic Republic of Iran, on the other hand, does not even have to be ideological forever, and skillfully pushes every way to achieve its goals. The propaganda policy is changing according to the different situation and target groups inside and outside Iran, and work is being done to get the most results.

They posed for a lie

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic, Mohammad Javad Zarif, claimed on social media that they had sent 40,000 advanced coronavirus virus test kits to Germany and Turkey on social media. The website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also shared the claim in the language of the Minister. But a few days later, Turkey’s state news agency, the Anatolian News Agency, said the allegations were false, according to a report from Turkish diplomats. Although the issue was not widely reported in the Turkish media, it was particularly widespread among Azerbaijani activists in Iran, and there were protests against Iran’s hypocrisy. While all these protests and lies have damaged Iran’s propaganda targets, the truth is that not much has changed. Because of Iran’s widespread propaganda and the lack of a free voice, many people will think that Iran is helping Turkey.
But why is this work important? In the coronavirus crisis, many countries have provided similar assistance to each other, and in fact this is done for a more diplomatic purpose, which is a very serious figure for a country financially. For example, Turkey has provided similar assistance to about 60 countries. but the aid provided could be measured by the transparency of the state and the existence of free media, and expressed the nation’s criticism. But in Iran, such a thing is always talked about. In other words, there is no transparency in the government that can be controlled. The second is that only government propaganda can work, mainly because free media does not make sense in Iran. and such diplomatic scandals are often forgotten.

The psychology of looking down

The fact that Iranians look down on the rulers and even ordinary people, especially on foreign countries, shows the nation’s unique psychology and culture. For example, the fact that Iranians despise the nation and country of Afghanistan, or that they see the Arab countries as backward and look down on them, disturbs the conscience of every just and just person. The same attitude is very common in Turkey. For example, Iranians see the influence of thousands of Iranian tourists a year much higher than in Turkey. Even those who are unaware of the Turkish economy and see the country’s development linked to Iranian tourists are of little value. The fact is that both the number of Iranian tourists and the amount of money they spend is much lower than in other countries. Also, despite the importance of tourism, it is only one part of the Turkish economy.
The claim of the Iranian Foreign Ministry to send a test kit of 40,000 crowns to Turkey under false pretenses also contributes to the spread of such psychology. The Iranian nation and government, which are stuck in every corner of the world, continue to distance themselves with such views.
