Turkish Minister of Defense Hulusi Akar has commented on the tension between Russia and Ukraine, Aznews tv informs, citing TRT Haber.
According to him, Ankara is interested in a diplomatic solution to the crisis.
“Each of us wants the crisis to be ended through diplomacy and dialogue. We are doing our best for this,” the minister said.
Akar also said that Turkey supports Ukraine’s territorial integrity: “Our attitude to the Russian-Ukrainian crisis has been clear and concrete since day one. President and ministers have always expressed our position. Since the first day, we have been saying that we are against the occupation of Crimea. We support a cold-blooded solution to tensions in the region. In this sense, we want the Black Sea countries to live in peace and prosperity. The territorial integrity of both Georgia and Ukraine is important for us.”
