Iranian government approves ban on violence against women Thus, the meeting of the state staff was held on the 14th of December under the chairmanship of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani. The document contains 58 articles.

According to the law, sexual abuse of a woman is an act of violence against her body, body or personality, dignity, legal rights and freedoms. According to the draft, “the difference between the diya to be paid to a woman who is the head of the family will be paid from the beyt-ul-mal equal to the diya for men.”

Masuma Ibtikar, Deputy Minister for Women and Family Affairs under the President of Iran, said on her Twitter page that the law had been adopted.
Human Rights Watch called on the Iranian government to approve the “Prohibition of Violence Against Women” project in mid-August this year. It should be noted that Iran is one of the countries that has not joined the United Nations Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women.
