A PROJECT ON PROVIDING EDUCATION COST IN MOTHER TONGUE HAS BEEN PREPARED

29 members of parliament

A draft law has been prepared to ask the Iranian government to cover the cost of education in the mother tongue. The proposal was put forward at the request of 29 members of parliament. This interpretation is justified as follows:

“Education in the mother tongue is enshrined in many human rights instruments and agreements, including the Manifesto of the Mother Tongue, the World Language Law Declaration, paragraphs 3 and 4 of the Declaration on the Rights of National, National, Language and Religious Minorities, and the Rights of the Child. Article 30 of the Convention is enshrined in Article 27 of the International Covenant on Cultural and Political Rights.

Article 15 of the Iranian Constitution also emphasizes the right to education in madrassas in the mother tongue along with Persian.
Although no results have been obtained, experts say it is a good step.
