Iran’s support for Armenia and its historical mistake

Karabakh

Iran’s support for Armenia against Azerbaijan is a new issue. Even in the occupation of Karabakh in the 1990s, Iran played a key role. However, in then-newly independent Azerbaijan, military irregularities and political difficulties prevented Baku from fully exposing the issue. On the one hand, the national consciousness and the awakening of the nation in South Azerbaijan was not as strong as it is today, and Tehran was able to do what it wanted very easily.

In addition, Iran tried to deceive the nation on both sides of the Araz with extensive propaganda. For years, Iran has tried to convince the nation of its support for Azerbaijan with widespread propaganda. Thus, in particular, he developed a sectarian policy but also tried to prevent the protests in South Azerbaijan with widespread propaganda. Despite all this, there were widespread protests at that time, especially among students, but this issue was not generalized.

But what is happening today is completely different. Although Iran tried to hide its aid to Armenia, it failed. Iran, which provides all kinds of assistance to Armenia from the ground and air, has seen and revealed the realities of the nation, no matter what it does.

Although they initially denied that Kamaz trucks had gone to Armenia, they were later exposed through social media. As the nation’s protests grew, the government was forced to admit that trucks were leaving Iran for Armenia.

Dissatisfied and dissatisfied with what the government said, the nation began widespread protests, especially in Tabriz and Tehran. When this happened, Iran tried to increase pressure on South Azerbaijan.

Later, Iran’s silence, especially on the Ganja crime, led to an increase in protests.

The only way out for Armenia is Iran

Iran has always denied assistance to Armenia. But technically, Armenia has no other choice. Georgia said in a statement yesterday that it had closed its border with Armenia both by air and ground. Thus, Armenia can get its needs only through Iran. However, Iran has not agreed to close the 33-kilometer border from the beginning. It is also reported that many planes flew from the Iranian airspace to Armenia. Armenia is expected to meet its needs for weapons and fuel, especially with the help of Iran.

Because in recent days, it turned out that several planes, especially from Iraq and Syria, went to Armenia via Iran.
Iranian officials have not commented on the matter. On the contrary, they claimed to be with Azerbaijan with strong propaganda.

This situation, especially in Iran, seems to have further eroded the nation’s confidence in the government and led to an increase in protests.
