PROBLEMS IN EDUCATION IN WESTERN AZERBAIJAN

Mohammad Mehdi Shahriyari

“In the West Azerbaijan province, more shares and employment should be allocated for Farhangian University.”

The statement came from West Azerbaijan Governor Mohammad Mehdi Shahriyari.
He said during a meeting with the Minister of Education on May 8:

“The education department of Western Azerbaijan must be provided with the necessary human resources, as well as the infrastructure must be strengthened. Urmu, Xana and Chaldiran are overcrowded due to the lack of educational facilities. Issues such as lack of space and the application of employment restrictions are difficult to address. Shahriyari also touched upon the issue of increasing and equipping student camps and counseling centers. He said that providing the necessary confidence for the province’s education could improve the current situation. Issues related to online education in particular need to be addressed. However, it is possible to reach the national average in this way.

It should be noted that the Minister of Education said that work will be done to solve the problems.
It should be noted that there are 35,000 teachers, 622,000 students and 5,080 madrassas in Western Azerbaijan.
