Ayub and Davood Shiri transferred to court again

Davood and Ayub Shiri, well-known Azerbaijani national activists, were transferred to Branch 16 of the Public Investigation and Revolutionary Prosecutor's Office in Tabriz on Saturday, July 3, 2021, to sign bail, and then were returned to Tabriz Central Prison.

The two national activists have been charged with “forming an illegal Gamaj group (independent spectrum of Azerbaijan).”

Each of these national activists had previously been sentenced to six months in prison by Branch 1 of the East Azerbaijan Court of Appeal.

Davood and Ayub Shiri are currently being held in Ward 12.

It is worth mentioning that the Shiri Brothers, along with the nationwide protests in November 2018, along with a number of other Azerbaijani activists such as Akbar Mohajeri, Mohammad Mahmoudi, Shahin Barzegar, Nasser Kholusi, Babak Hosseini Moghadam and Mohammad Abdul Mohammadzadeh The city was transferred and after about a month, they were temporarily released on March 28, 2019 with a bail of 600 million Tomans.
