MP: The majority of the population has nothing to eat but bread and cheese

Seyyed Kazem Mousavi

The Deputy Chairman of the Economic Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly sharply criticized the plans of the Iranian government and assessed the living conditions of the people.

“A lot of people have nothing to eat but bread and cheese,” he said.

Seyyed Kazem Mousavi, a member of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, told the Tasnim news agency today that prices in the country have risen sharply and the living conditions of the population are difficult. The MP noted that the only reason for this was the state.

Seyyed Kazem Mousavi also said:

“Unfortunately, in the last few years, state plans have not been based on the economic strategy of resistance, and in the current situation, the appropriate and expected results have not been achieved in this area, which has led to frustration among the people.”

According to the MP, the state is not responsible for the rise in prices: “We expect the state to be responsible for the current situation and the difficult living conditions of the people. Because most of the population has nothing to eat but bread and cheese, and this is a serious problem. ”

While the MP called the Iranian state the only cause of rising prices and economic problems, the 11th session began with the slogan “solution of economic difficulties.”

Although about six months have passed since the 11th Assembly began its work, the Assembly has adopted only one economic plan, Subsidies for the Supply of Basic Consumer Goods, but its budget is also determined by state resources.
