Strict 14-day quarantine begins in Azerbaijan

The epidemiological situation in the country has been analyzed and it has been decided to extend the special quarantine regime until August 1.

The statement came from Leyla Abdullayeva, Chief of the Press Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, member of the Operational Staff, at today’s briefing of the Operational Staff:

“It has been decided to impose a strict quarantine regime in the country from June 21 to July 5,” he said. Strict quarantine regime will be applied in Baku, Absheron, Sumgayit, Jalilabad, Masalli, Yevlakh and Ganja. He said that the SMS permission system will be restored:

“The operation of shopping centers and customer service in public catering establishments will be suspended again. At the same time, barbershops and beauty salons will cease operations. Outdoor sports games are suspended. Leyla Abdullayeva added that bans on the restoration of gyms, theaters, religious ceremonies, indoor mourning services are in force:

“At the same time, we recommend that people over the age of 65 do not leave the house unless absolutely necessary.”
