TEHRAN REGIME’S LEADING ANTI-PERSIAN STRATEGY

Iran

In Iran, as in many areas, it is possible to face injustice in the political and economic spheres. The policy of Persian nationalism pursued by the Tehran government has become dangerous for non-Persians and non-Shiites. This unjust plain has put pressure on women in particular.

The fact that the current situation dates back to the years of the Pahlavi dynasty gives grounds to call the injustice and non-transparent regime the remnants of the Pahlavi period. Over time, this injustice, which has become part of the system of governance, is becoming more common. For example: Disrespect for the highest and natural rights of a citizen, such as education in the mother tongue, is a restriction of human rights and freedoms. Or another example: Inequality of women’s and men’s rights …

The issue has been widely criticized in Iran and has been described by the authorities as an opposition figure. The main reason for all these restrictions is Persian nationalism. The indifference of non-Persian nations in the country, the neglect of their rights and freedoms, leads to a fundamental weakening of development in these regions. Of course, it is necessary to mention South Azerbaijan in this regard. South Azerbaijan is a region where the dark face of the Iranian government is reflected. Indifference to the region, not only in economic but also in socio-political terms, is disrespectful to humanity. The mass media, which plays a mediating role in the formation of public opinion and the determination of a unified opinion in society, also has a significant impact on the widespread propaganda of the Persian regime. Today, the Iranian media is notorious for its bias against non-Persians. In this country, which does not pay attention to the meaning of freedom of speech, opinion and information, the work of the media is also in view. Insults, slander, lies and rumors …

It is clear that there is no freedom of speech and pen in Iran. The fact that this situation has lasted for many years once again raises the issue of “honest government and opposition media” in international journalism. Of course, despite all the pressure and bans of the government, the opposition media is always more watched. This figure is the same on social media. In addition, it is impossible to find media outlets in Iran that do not broadcast information in Persian. That is, there is a special pressure on non-Persians in the Persian-language media, especially the Turkic peoples. This issue also has its say in the policy of information dissemination. News about political activists and prisoners in South Azerbaijan is being boycotted by media outlets that describe themselves as the “Voice of Iran.”
In many cases, even Western-funded media are more radical and fascist than the Iranian government as a result of pressure from radical Persian nationalists. Such bodies either ignore or distort the news about the Turks. Unfortunately, the lack of professional media outlets by South Azerbaijani activists has created a favorable environment for the media, which promotes Persian nationalism.
