The First Bazpursi Department of the General and Revolutionary Department of the Maragha Province has issued a decision on Azerbaijani activists Mir Musa Ziya Zargari and Mukhtar Ibrahimi. Thus, the decision made under the leadership of Amir Gaffari was sent to the Dadsitan for consideration. If the decision sent to the cultural activists is confirmed by Dadsitani, they will be recognized as political “criminals.”
Mukhtar Ibrahimi was charged with “propaganda against the order”, “creating a group and a group against the security of the order”, and Mir Musa Ziya Zargari was charged with “propaganda against the order”. The judge agreed with the decision and said that the result was final.
It should be noted that the well-known Azerbaijani writer and cultural activist Mukhtar Ibrahimi is a student of political sciences. He was arrested on the 5th of Shahrivar at 14:00 by officers of the Maragha Provincial Information Office and taken to the city’s Information Center. After being detained there for 21 days, he was transferred to the Maragha prison on the 26th of Shahrivar.
Cultural activist Mir Musa Ziya Zargari was arrested by the officials of the Information Department of Sulduz Province at 16:00 on the 26th of Shahrivar. The activist, a resident of Sulduz, was released on bail on the 16th of May in exchange for a 100 million toman certificate after being transferred to the Maragha prison.
