Statement
We, as South Azerbaijani parties and organizations, support the uprising of the Arab nation of Al-Ahwaz.
The heroic and the freedom-loving nation of Al-Ahwaz, South Azerbaijanis are aware that your struggles have shaken the foundations of the repressive and racist regime in Iran. We see the proud uprising of the Al-Ahwaz Arab nation as an act that challenges 100-year-old policies aimed at changing the ethnic demography of Al-Ahwaz through environmental degradation and transferring water resources of this province to ethnic Persian provinces such as Isfahan and Yazd in order to create the conditions for forced emigration of the proud Arab nation.
We, the nation of South Azerbaijan, have been witnessing the implementation of these occupying, repressive and racist policies in our homeland for many years and together with the Arab nation of Ahwaz, we have stood up against these inhuman policies. Therefore, while announcing our full support for the uprising of the Arab nation in Al-Ahwaz, we call on the international community as well as all those against racism, to condemn the bloody suppression of the uprising of the Arab nation of Al-Ahwaz and force the ruling regime of Iran to abandon its policy of hostile and repressive treatment against non-Persian nations in Iran.
