
Mohammad Hossein Soomi, President of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences, regarding the supply and distribution of influenza vaccine in East Azerbaijan, said:
“We are happy that the flu vaccine has been provided through the Ministry of Health and has been provided to Tabriz University of Medical Sciences.”
He said that the distribution of influenza vaccine will be done in two ways: free vaccine, which is part of the obligations of the University Vice Chancellor for Health, to distribute to people who provide services to respiratory patients or suffer from certain underlying diseases and It will be injected. This measure has been started in several hospitals in the province since yesterday and is intended to be injected not into the entire health care staff but into individuals in specific hospital wards, both public (university and non-university) and the private sector.
The President of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences added: Dialysis patients, cancer patients, who are undergoing chemotherapy, hemophilia, and thalassemia based on the list available to the University Vice-Chancellor with the coordination and cooperation of the Vice Chancellor for Health and the Vice-Chancellor in the relevant departments and on time They will receive this vaccine.
He continued: “The flu vaccine will be given to other high-risk people, such as patients with diabetes and MS, by paying the relevant fee.” Although vaccination is required for these people, it is not part of the obligation to get a free vaccine by the health department.
