Shahim Barzgar-Gartal

Shahim Barzgar-Gartal, a South Azerbaijani activist, was sentenced by the Tabriz Court to three months in prison. The court’s decision also said that the sentence could be changed with a fine of 3 million tomans.

It should be noted that Barzgar was previously sentenced to one year in prison by the 1st Department of the Revolutionary Court of Tabriz on charges of “propaganda against the system.”

It should be noted that the activist Aban was arrested under the pretext of protests. He was released after spending 77 days in Ettelaat’s solitary confinement cell and 21 days in Tabriz prison for a total of three months in exchange for a $ 600 million bail.

It should be noted that Barzgar’s detention term is considered to have expired, taking into account the fact that the court decision states that the period of detention of the activist will be considered.
