It should be noted that the funeral of this Azerbaijani cultural activist will be held tomorrow.

Bahman Khaliqi was one of several activists arrested, tortured and imprisoned for his anti-racist activities for the rights of Turks in Iran.

This political and cultural activist was arrested by security forces at his private home in Bunab in 1392 after a protest rally in Maragha against Iran’s foreign policy in support of the Armenian occupation, and was later sentenced to 6 months in prison and 6 months probation by the 1st Department of the Tabriz Revolutionary Court. was sentenced to death.

Bahman Khaliqi was arrested for a day in 1392 on the eve of World Mother Language Day by security officers.
