The Iranian MP went on a hunger strike

Mustafa Reza Husseini

Mustafa Reza Husseini, the representative of Kerman’s Shahre-Babek region in the parliament, said at yesterday’s meeting:

“I will continue the hunger strike until the officials take serious steps to solve the people’s problems so that the people know that we are one of them and will be with them.”

According to ILNA, he pointed out that people say that the confrontation between the methodologists (conservatives) and the reformers is only a domestic and family rivalry to further their own interests. Addressing the ministers of the state, he said:

“Why is the population of the Shahre-Babek region oppressed and ignored? The copper industry of the Shahre-Babek region must be independent. The water drawn from the Gulf should also come to this city. ”

He also criticized the suspension of gas supplies to the villages:

“In the 21st century, people should try to get oil and gas in 20-liter capsules (balloons)? Our people in the villages have difficulty finding water, how long do we have to go to the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development to repair rural roads? ”
