Rasht Court acquits Azerbaijani activists. Thus, the 12th Revolutionary Court of the city acquitted three activists arrested for supporting the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Karabakh war.
Three Turkish students, Ibrahim Ganji, Vadud Asadi and Mohammad Eini, were charged with “working against the security of the country” and “propaganda against the order of the Islamic Republic.”

Ibrahim Ganji, the editor of the student magazine “Rain”, was arrested on May 27. Vadud Asadi and Mohammad Eini were arrested in Rasht on May 28. During the 44-day Karabakh war between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Armenia, South Azerbaijanis held rallies in support of Azerbaijan in a number of cities.

In particular, several Azerbaijani activists were arrested during support rallies in Tabriz, Tehran, Ardabil, Urmu, Zangan and Khiyov.
