“Great Bustard” is extincting

The habitat of this rare bird is Western Azerbaijan. According to the latest census, their number has dropped to 40 and is in danger of extinction.

Great bustard is the largest bird in Iran and looks more like an Astrakhan. The body is 1 meter long and weighs 15 kilograms. The legs are long and the feathers are colorful. The Sutav steppe of the Beykendi Province of Western Azerbaijan is the habitat of this bird throughout the country.

This heavy bird lives in large flocks, the ball. It builds its nests on the ground. They choose deserts and peaceful places for their lives. They also like places where there are no trees because they often sit on the ground. The herd is protected by men against dangers.
